PADI Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver Course is in the opinion of many scuba divers the most demanding, yet rewarding course that they have done. It for the same reason is a firm favourite of many instructors.

You will hone your skills as a diver, identify problems in and out of the water, and learn how to assist with solving these in a safe way. Many of the exercise draw on and emphasise the buddy system, you will be a better buddy by the end of it.

Core skills include:

  • Self rescue

  • Recognising and managing stress in other divers

  • Emergency management and equipment

  • Rescuing panicked divers

  • Rescuing unresponsive divers

  • The course finishing with all of your skills being put into practice with two rescue scenarios

Ask anyone a favourite course they have taken and many will pick this one, why? Whilst learning serious skills, the entire course is simply FUN!

You must also have a valid Emergency First Response Certification that will be less than two years old. We also strongly recommend that you take the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty. This will aid with your O2 provision abilities and understanding.
