Michael McHale
PADI DiveMaster
Hi I’m Michael,
I guess you could say, I bring the Paddy to PADI diving.
Born in Ireland and being the youngest in my family I seen a lot of my older siblings take up many hobbies over the years, but the one that always stuck with me was my oldest brother scuba diving.
I used to see all the gear in his shed. I’d look at it and wonder about the magical things he must see while diving. From then on, I always wanted to dive.
Skip ahead many years and after doing a couple of try dives I decided to get my PADI open water certification while on honeymoon in Cyprus. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done.
After that I was diving on all the holidays I went on, but that wasn’t enough for me, I wanted to dive more, I wanted to feel the buzz of descending underwater more than just when I was on holiday.
I was telling this to one of my friends one evening and as luck would have it, he had recently took up diving in the UK himself and he couldn’t recommend Bespoke Scuba diving any higher so I gave Paul a call and the rest is history.
I’ve now completed many dive and dive related courses both in and out of the water, I’m approaching 100 logged dives and have definitely caught the bug for liveaboards, having done my first in late 2025, I’ve booked one for 26 and 27 too. I’m currently doing my Instructors Development Course and looking forward to teaching and passing on the knowledge I now have on diving.
That one conversation down the local pub on a quiet Saturday evening has been life changing for me.
The best life advice I’d give anyone is “Become a Scuba Diver” with Bespoke Scuba, and I look forward to being part of that journey.
