The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular beginner scuba diving certification. It teaches you the fundamental skills, knowledge, and safety procedures needed to dive independently with a buddy anywhere in the world.

No prior experience is required. The PADI Open Water Diver course is designed for complete beginners and starts from the very basics, including equipment use, underwater skills, and dive planning.

The course typically takes 6/7 hours in the pool and a weekend in open water, depending on scheduling and student progress. Training includes:

• Knowledge development (theory) - Mainly online

• Confined water skill sessions

• Open water training dives

Flexible scheduling is available.

The course includes:

• All training sessions and instruction

• Confined water and open water dives

• Use of essential scuba equipment during training

• Certification upon successful completion

Personal equipment such as masks can be purchased from us separately if preferred.

After certification, PADI Open Water Divers are qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres when diving with a certified buddy. Age restrictions apply to depth.
