Who Can Enrol?

The PADI RNLI Sea Survival course is designed for:

  • Certified PADI Open Water Divers (or equivalent)

  • Divers aged 12+ with basic dive experience

  • Anyone who wants to expand their confidence and skills in sea safety and emergency response

No prior advanced certifications are required — just a passion for diving and a commitment to learning how to be safer in open water conditions.


Course Structure & What You’ll Learn

Your training will include:

📘 Knowledge Development

Understand key concepts in sea safety, emergency procedures, dive planning, and risk reduction. This is conducted in an Instructor led session either face to face or online.

🤿 In-Water Training

Complete 2 open water dives where you’ll practise sea survival skills, such as:

  • Dive strategy and preparation

  • Surface marker buoy (SMB) deployment

  • Responding to out-of-air and surface emergencies

  • Navigation and boat safety awareness

  • Techniques for attracting attention and calling for help
