James Bramley

I discovered my passion for Scuba diving after completing a DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt in 2011. I have then gone on to complete my PADI Open Water in the UK in 2012.

Soon after I completed my Advanced Open Water. I've picked up various PADI cert cards along the way such as Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver, Wreck Diver, Drift Diver, Dry Suit Diver and Rescue Diver to name but a few.

My travels for work have allowed me to dive in various places in the Middle East including Qatar, Dubai, Kuwait; and I have also been fortunate enough to dive in various locations in Europe including Malta, Greece (Corfu, Santorini and Zakynthos), Ibiza, Turkey, The Canary Islands and of course the UK.  My most memorable dives were the Dubai Shopping Mall Aquarium as I was able to swim with several species of sharks and rays; and the Volcanic Caldera of Santorini as the topography was truly breathtaking.

I'm eager to progress through the PADI Divemaster course whereby I can take my skill set to the next level whilst meeting new people, sharing the knowledge and experiences that I've gained and, of course, having fun. Looking forward to seeing you on the next Bespoke adventure!

I first starting scuba diving after my family got me on a PADI Open Water course for my 40th birthday.  I loved it and haven’t looked back since.

I did my PADI Drysuit specialty early on, which has allowed me to do a lot of diving in the UK.  Some of that has been at dive centres such as Vobster Quay and Stoney Cove.  Some has been off of the coast at places like Brighton and Eastbourne.  I also try to get in the water whenever I go on holiday with my family, having done several dives in the Mediterranean and off of The Canary Islands, and even a few dives in some prehistoric caverns dotted around Florida.

I’ve completed many other courses along the way.  The most challenging but equally most rewarding of those was probably the Rescue Diver course and after completing that I became a Master Scuba Diver.  As I’ve gained experience, I’ve started to find that I get enjoyment not just from diving itself but also from helping others as they embark on their own adventures in diving.  The PADI Divemaster course is the natural next step to becoming further involve in that side of diving and continuing my scuba journey.

In the meantime, my youngest daughter is following in my footsteps, having completed both the PADI Seal Team and the PADI Master Seal Team courses.  One of my proudest moments was diving with her for the first time and I am hoping that we will do lots more diving together in the future.
